Who is this company and how do we know this post is not to keep people away from minig, but other activities in the area NOT related to mining???? Never heard of this company. I believe this is a fraud.

To All Concerned: As of March 2003, and continuing [this date, Nov. 20, 2005] a long-term Minerals Purchase and Mining Lease issued to Rocky Enterprises PO Box 930 Tombstone, AZ 85638 { Forest Service Permits authorize permittee to establish safety, security, control on and around the leasehold.} This necessitates notification to hikers and other public users of the Coronado National Forest - NOW CLOSED TO ALL ENTRY: approximately ONE square mile, including ALL of Mt. Washington from just south of Veteran's Peak* a mile south to the border, a mile east along the border, and a mile north to include the F.Rd west of the road going S to the Line Boy Mine., and west along the F.S./ private property boundary of Washington Camp to the west slope beyond the radio tower*. This closes the ridgeline trail toward the peak of Mt. Washington AND the 4WD road from Duquesne. NEW Mining operations & OLD mines are dangerous. NO ACCESS.

Though the views and access to the long ridgelines is still there, the trail southerly toward the peak of Mt. Washington should respectfully backtrack at Veteran's Peak, and go no further southward. In view of the Mining Lessee's responsibility to protect the land, RE/TGM shows no tolerance for trespass nor littering, nor traffic, illegal or unauthorized, and is party to an agreement with DHS/BP to report and assist in stopping all smuggling and "unauthorized removals".{You dont want to know.} Likewise the FS Road west to the Santo Nino Mine area from Duquesne is OFF LIMITS, closed to public use. Gates are being installed for the Security patrolled Commercial Mining.

Under Mining Lease, the Permit area which encompasses Mt. Washington, The Santo Nino Mines, is also under permit for GUIDE SERVICE and FILMING. Therefor, any party sincerely desiring to visit or access the area for any purpose {particularly those activities conducted within the scope of those permits} MUST CONTACT THE PERMITTEE- all inquiries to the Forest Service will be referred to RE/TGM by the F.S. NO HUNTING or use of firearms on or near the leasehold will be tolerated. It is dangerous to others as well as the permittee's staff & guests. The permittee requests 30 days advance notice of requests.

At this point, the mining company, working with the Dept. of Homeland Security, has agreed with the Border Patrol assessment that the Mt. Washington area, and the exposed slopes [winter] are too dangerous even for BP/ICE due to intense smuggling activity and gunfire in the immediate vicinity, a diversity of new trails (due to Minutemen and other observer activities) and presense of the ZETA group which is heavily armed and fond of eliminating witnesses.

Trail Update

The trail to Mt Washington, which passes over Veteran's Peak, is becoming quite well used by illegal immigrants and smugglers. From Washington Pass to Veteran's Peak, the trail is very distinct, almost maintained. Beyond, though I have not gone there for years, it is visible on Google Earth, and must be well travelled to be seen as such. It goes to the border, for any who dare.

Children

Children refers to the set of objects that logically fall under a given object. For example, the Aconcagua mountain page is a child of the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits.' The Aconcagua mountain itself has many routes, photos, and trip reports as children.
