Thanks for the vote. I gotta wait a few days to see if I can use some pictures. Shouldn't be a problem, although it could take awhile. For now, I am providing lots of information. To see some photos, check out the links.
Nope. Still just got 26. I did Kentucky in January of 2002, but didn't get any good photos. I have been meaning to put this up for awhile, and I am waiting on some photos from some other people, which should arrive in a week or so. The photos I put up have gotten 0 votes by jerks who don't care about highpointing and vote 0 on photos that illuminate the landmarks. Obviously because they hate highpointers and would hope that people who visit this site get lost! That's me venting!!!
Anyway, we have 45 highpoints up on this site.
Missouri and Wisconsin should definitely be up on SP.
Ohio could be up on the site and so could Mississippi.
I could put up Delaware (which I have visited), but I won't because it would be downvoted heavily, and wouldn't be accepted on SP.
So there are really just 4 more highpoints to put up on SP. I haven't visited any of them.
Ah, gotcha...do the downvotes actually hurt anything? I mean pointwise or any other way? I say put it up anyway...who cares about the opinions of jerks anyway?
Some people just can't stand it if others have goals. ; )
Good addition to the mountains of KY. I don't know if there is prominence listing for Black Mtn. It can be tedious surfing the contours looking for such.
Not much real estate above 4K feet in Kentucky. One of the other high mountains is also under a lot of pressure from mining interests to strip it and dump the tailings into the valleys. Hard to beleive that the citizens would allow that, but there you have it.
FYI the state of Ky has purchased mineral rights for this mountain. Do a google search. Although you need a permit to legally "climb" you will see locals riding ATVs all over

Untitled CommentThis already has the looks of a great page. Great addition to SP. Can't wait to see the new photos when you add them. Great start and have a good one!
