Drove by this one

Didn't know about the good roads in. By the way, one of my very distant ancestors settled in Goldfield in about 1905, had about 10 kids, and they all had about 10 kids each... Chances are an old-timer in Esmeralda County is probably a distant relative of mine.

Yeah...definitely pros and cons to the roads.

Goldfield was a, I guess, interesting town's the way to put it. It's got a good location and potential, but I all saw when I drove by were motels and restaurants that look like they've been abandoned for years

Goldfield once was the most populous city in Nevada. 20,000 people at one time. Major disasters, fires mainly, obliterated the town. Were it not a county seat, it would have died altogether.

Speed trap - Goldfield

Pay attention to the speed limit signs in this town or you'll end up making a nice contribution that you didn't intend on making.

Re: Speed trap - Goldfield

I was lucky. Cruisin down the highway the cars in front of me braked like there was no tomorrow miles before the speed limit signs. They knew what they were doing.
