The guide (a guy named Doug) was very good. He's a local arborist who lives there in the county, and who is very knowledgable about the site. The hike was about 4 1/2 hours. Not sure how much vertical. I thought more SPers were going to be there, but it was only me and Shannon. I'd highly recommend this hike. I'll probably take it again, after I do Three Top.

Did you get to Snake Mountain? If so, what was the hike like? Jack got nervous after the wrong turns that we wouldn't be able to do the hike and get him back to the park before the gates were locked. So he wanted to bail and I took him back to the park. So it goes.
