Route from south

Another route is to start at saddle 1545 meters, not quite
3 miles south of the summit. In good weather a passenger
can be driven here, if care is taken to avoid rocks and
wood debris in the road.

Hike a good trail to the
ridge NE of Midas BM. Follow the ridge a bit, then
use game trails to sidehill west around summit 1896 m., and
down to a saddle. From here follow the ridge to
the top, with a small sidehill west of x 1893 m. In places you will need to follow game trails
through Manzanita. Total elevation gain is roughly 2,000
feet. Round trip distance is about 6 miles.
