Seems a mellow mountain. I looked for Sopris in all the pix but only saw a goat.

Jon, it's very strange looking at this mountain all day from Hail Peak and wishing Jim would submit it, then getting home and firing up SP and seeing that you posted it. I had no idea that you climbed it.

Beautiful page, as usual.

Kane,

I'd meant to climb Deming two weeks ago but the snow conditions disuaded me (the basin was snowbound and sloppy and I had lost my ice ax back in may so the ridge made me nervous.) so I went up Eccles Peak instead. I had long wanted to go back to the South Willow Creek dainage, hapefully durring the peak of the wildflowers... I wasn't dissappointed. You know it would be possible to climb Buffalo Mountain, Eccles Peak, and Deming in one nice loop... what a day that would be. Anyway I had meant to send you a photo of Hail for beta but I fell aslpeep like at 6:00 last night... still suffering Jet lag and on eastern time. Anyway I aksed Jim today if he minded me posting Deming... he said no so I posted. My trip to Paonia has been postponed till tuesday to let the holliday traffic peter out. Happy Fourth of July Kane!
