Thanks Alan! Yeah, the history behind this area is certainly interesting. Hard to believe there's a year-round highway through the pass now!

Glad you liked the page and trip report. I hope the trip reports I put up are informative and reasonably entertaining - not too dry :-) Without voting and comments, sometimes it's hard to tell!

Very enjoyable page and trip report, John. I'll have to head up there sometime since it is practically a hop, skip and jump away from my apartment.

I have visited a lot of your pages on mountains and have always been impressed. This one is no different. You are truely a pro at writing these pages. Keep them coming.

Lots of good info for such an unassuming peak.

Thanx for the page

Great page. I enjoyed my first time on Donner and Judah. One note for info purposes. The ASI parking lot is no longer the ASI parking lot. It's now the SugarBowl Academy parking lot. ASI moved to Truckee. I don't know if they charge to park there or not. There is a sign that says for Academy folks only. I tried to find someone to ask but there were no open doors on a Sunday. I parked there with no problem for about 3 hrs. I don't know if I'd park there overnight or not.
