Interesting summit! I heard the name, but didn't know that it is so outstanding. I enjoy your pages, covering the Easternmost part of Alps :-)

Thank you, Vid. I'd like to get this part of Alps rolling and hope for more people contributing to SP. Elsewhere it's hard to find obscure informations, e.g. doing Hochgolling with ski and such. And yes, Gößeck is worth a closer look. :)

Uh, Hochgolling with skis?

I know you have first hand experience, apparently some locals do it as a ski tour and even cross the summit. Long, difficult and surely not crowded, could I wish for more? :) Still have to check all available informations and decide myself. I'll post a route if it works out, but not before April-May anyway.

Good start! I guess you could add many routes to the top of Gösseck ...and some photos. Good link work.

Thanks, Jon. I have to check out the literature, but there may not be any rock climbing (bad rock). And the Gesäuse with Hochtor having all the bigwalls is nearby.

dedo,

Well, I add routes to 'my' mountain pages even if they are not rock climbing...but as long as they have any kind of mountaineering interest (good views, alttitude, funny trekking, landscapes, performance,...)

Oh, you mean this! Right, I'll probably add the route I climbed, the description on the main page is already too long. But I don't add routes I didn't climb myself, do you? I just mention them in the overview, anything one can google up and find in a guide, if present at home. :)

dedo,

Here every one of us has his/her own personal point of view...I think that no-rock climbing routes are valid for SP.

I also think that it is not right to post a route you did not climb, despite I have done that. In that case I have done an extensive research in the internet and I have asked some others...to be sure that I know what I am talking about.

Finally, I see SP like a 'ONE STOP' source of climbing information. This means that I believe that SP should contain ALL the info one would need to climb a mountain without having to google in the net. Nevertheless, I also add links to very good sources of information, weather, books, etc...but I still see my pages like THE source!

One thing is a must for me: the page has to contain detailed info, nice photos, has to have a logic in it and has to be good written (despite english is not my mother language)

Greetings

We share the same view, then - let me rephrase, what I wanted to express: I collect the informations I can find in Google, message boards and the like, including those guide books I have or can find in public libraries.

So I would too like SP to be a one-stop source, you wrote it nicely. :-) Thank you for bringing this point out.
