Page is good. Since the peak isn't really named, I assume the name "Heartbeat" comes from Heart Lake? The peak is a short gentle trip from Rollins Pass; about 2 miles and 1100 feet elevation gain. The road (blocked off) on the Rollins Pass to James Peak route passes within a few hundred feet of the summit. When we went to James Peak, we didn't make the short side trip to this one.

Thanks! It's all in my quest to fill in the holes in SP with obscure little mountains nobody's heard of and nobody needs beta on how to climb ;-)

Thanks! It was a beautiful day, but fraught with problems. I have a theory that one thing has to go wrong on each trip and, after it does, you're fine. This disproved my theory. Check out the trip report for more on the epic, along with photos.

WOW!!!! Quite a day indeed! Those are the days that you'll remember forever though. They seem to be the hardest but the most rewarding in the end. Thanks for sharing and have a nice day Charles!

Thanks Bor,

We followed a set of ski tracks up the mountain which is part of why we ended up so lost to begin with. They were descent tracks! Oh well. I didn't realize you've climbed over here on this side of the Atlantic.
