Not bad. Could use round trip distance and elevation gain. I know this is a less known hike than (Mounts Chapman, Sequoyah, Guyot, and Old Black), but why not put up a page for Guyot? These 6k peaks are waiting there, just hankering for Bob Smith to put up a page about them! They may be more popular, but they still have no home on Summitpost!

Good page on this interesting mountain with a jet plane wreck on its side. Good Albright Tree views.

Thanks!

I wasn't aware of the plane wreck.

There is a small plane wreck on Mount Mitchell that I want to see. Maybe in a few weeks.

Thanks! I wish the views had been better. But, that's the way the Smokies go, sometimes.

Wreck Info?

Does anyone know any details about the plane wreckage? What year? What type of plane? etc. It is really all over the place up there.

Re: Wreck Info?

I came across the large debris on this knob last Fall, and have since learned there was a crash of an USAF F-4 in 1984.
