Nice page. Seems strange that the most impressive peak in the area is only climbed about once per year.

Yes, I'm not quite sure why this is, although this is the case for some objectives in the High Sierra too--some impressive peaks like the Devils Crags come to mind.



I suspect it might just be because there are so few really great peaks around Tahoe that the area tends to be ignored by climbers in favour of the more worthy objectives further south in the High Sierra--plus, of course, there's no guidebook for the area analogous to Secor's or Roper's to spread the word about the peaks that are up here.
