I just read the article. Very well written and a compelling read. I've also lost friends in the mountains, so can empathize with your feelings on the matter.

Paul,
I am surprised that Mount Saint Nicholas is not your main "target" in Glacier (?)

Paul wants Mt. Cleveland, as do I. I also want Mt. Stimson. Have you climbed it? Maybe we should plan a climb of one or both in the next year or two? Summer, of course!

I have not climbed Stimson either - LONG trip!
Always happy to entertain trip plans - esp. in Glacier. Let's get in touch about things over there in the Spring. I will be in North America all summer this year.
It's on hold. Lots of factors play into the decision. It's really a complicated situation but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Stay tuned. I really do enjoy viewing your submissions. You present good quailty stuff.

Untitled CommentAnother GNP mountain's SP time has come. Where's Mt. Cleveland, Fred? I want Mt. Cleveland, I want Mt. Clevaland!
This is because I want to climb it someday and I always find the Glacier climbing guide an annoying read. I need better info.

Untitled CommentPaul,
I have not climbed Cleveland.
I was invited on a trip once, did not go, lived because I didn't, but lost some friends. I have never really felt like going there since.
Mt. Cleveland avalanche
Perhaps I will work up the desire do it this summer.
