Another nice one.

Note that, technically speaking, Mt. Church is WNW of Donaldson Peak. The NW Ridge of Donaldson curves around to become the E. Ridge of Church. The exact GPS coordinates are 44.0661, -113.714; I think you forgot to put a decimal place in for your numbers. Same is true for you Leatherman coordinates.

Made the changes you talked about, but I disagree (Or at least The National Geographic Map program does) on the GPS coordinates. Where did you get yours?

Placing the GPS cursor directly on the summit I come up with

44 03.963 N

113 42.810 W

I will field verify next time I am there to determine what the exact coordinates are.

Your coordinates are identical to mine.

44.0661* = 44*3.963'

-113.714* = -113*42.810'

(* connotes "degrees", ' connotes "minutes")

You are decimalizing in the minutes (DD MM.MMM), whereas I am decimalizing all the way out to degrees (DD.DDD). It looks like you've simply inputed into Topozone the one type when you thought you were doing the other. My coordinates do match up with the summit.

Nice to see people from Colorado previewing the Mtns of Idaho. I am from Carbondale, and love the Mtns, there but find Idaho awesome.

Good page Nic (?), perhaps it's needed more text in the sections of the main page and some non-SP links. Clear "Miscellaneous Info" if it's going to be empty, you'll always have the chance of adding sections. Any more routes?

Gracias

Thanks! I adopted (was given) the page last week, and decided to do something cool with it. I have TopoUSA and love the 3D maps, so I decided to try to post it. It took a bit of work but I figured it out.

It's a GREAT idea. There is a short discussion about it in this thread if you are interested.

I've done a mouseover page here and may borrow some of your ideas for future ones, if you don't mind.

Using a lot of the same basic techniques I made a panorama for my Saddle Mountain, Idaho, page. I also cropped the teton picture for my user page using the same stuff.

The basics are just the style settings for overflow, relative position, and inline style changes on mouseover events.
