When my husband and I first moved to the island we made several attempts to get to this MT top. We came from Lake Cowichan side and had to bike in as far as we could and we only made it to Lomas lake. But even that was such a treat for us as we had just moved to the island from Ontario. Next try we drove along the Chemainus logging road and we got 2 flat tires at the same time! We figured it was an Omen. Never did get back there. We'll have to give it another try.
I could tell it is a labour of love. This island truly is a special place. The Hinde is on our short list for this year along with the Comox Glacier. Thanks for the welcome. I look forward to reading some of your trip reports.
