Road to "The Cap"

Did you see any road getting close to the top from the west? My topo recreational road layer shows a road getting close to the summit. Route sounds a bit brushy for my kids.

When we reached the top of FS 020, there was a road going to the left. In looking at the map on Lists of John, it doesn't seem to go to the top of the cap. The brush wasn't that bad except for the thisle plants and some rabbitbrush so perhaps fall might be a time when the brush would be reduced enough for your kids. ???
