They just abut. Ogalalla's summit is on the border.

Thanks!

I voted on all the pix and thought your signature a good choice.

Good links and a fine page

Thanks! The weather wasn' t really cooperative and the pictures turned out a little gloomy, but I hope some of them will prove useful.

Great page Fabio. Congrats on your solo trip back there. Guess this one is on my list if I still want all the Park's 13'ers!

Thanks, also for catching the typo. I'm not an authority on camping, but I guess it would make sense to climb Ogalalla and Copeland from Pear Lake in three or four days. (Those twenty miles are so long!)

Tahnks! I could have used a little more sunshine, and i'm still sore from those twenty miles, but it was fun.

Wow, what an awesome page and your photos are stunning. I may be using one of youe shots of Elk Tooth as my new Sig photo. You wouldn't happen to have a TOPO you could submit? Also, you didn't happen to find a summit register on Elk Tooth did you? I'm wondering how many folks climb that peak yearly.

Kane, yes, I did find the summit register on Elk Tooth, and I wrote about it in the approach section of the East Ridge route. Five entries so far for 2005! The register is not in the summit cairn, but nearby: I almost missed it.

I'm glad you liked the pictures. Speaking of which, I was going to ask you if you could post that view of Ogalalla from the west that had me totally stumped when we were playing "name that peak." Of course, I'll be flattered if you decide to use one of my photos for your page.

Finally, no, I haven't gotten the TOPO software yet.

I submitted that Ogalalla photo for you. i scaled it down a bit, I think it looks better that way. I also posted your nice shot of Elk Tooth on my page, take a look!

Excellent, thanks! I agree: the picture benefited from a little cropping. I have to say I also liked the old sig pic of Elk Tooth seen from across the Beaver Pond.

Brenta,

A most excellent addition! Thank you much for posting it. I've been after Ogalalla for 3 years now...
