Great page already! How did the traverse look after Gandalf? We are planning to do it on the way from Sill to Middle Pal. Apparently, it is the crux of the traverse
Thanks Misha. From Gandalf the next couple of pinnacles didn't look any harder than class 3-4. The view was obscured beyond that though. The section just west of Mt. Jepson looked pretty darn tough too. A sling at the summit of Jepson confirmed we weren't the only ones who thought so. Still, the Palisade Crest traverse is only 5.5. I think the section between Middle Pal and Norman Clyde is 5.7, and the route west of Norman Clyde looked pretty spicy too.
I was debating between this one and Owens Peak. You can beat me to that one and leave Rixford. I really can't recommend Rixford as worthy of a page though, we must have at least a dozen between us before we have to bother with it.

Untitled CommentNice work. I notice you claimed the impressive peak while I'll be left to add Rixford some time. :-)

Untitled CommentRixford is one of those, like Warren and Red, that deserves a page mostly to warn people away. :-)
