Try the Blue Ridge. Here, it's a rare mountain that does have a summit view. I usually only hit the peaks out here in winter; with all the leaves gone, I can see something!
Is Blue Ridge blue, Bob? The nonsense name is more annoying than no view....at least it was an enjoyable hike. Nearly all of the peaks along the PCT are free of trees at the summit, so this one is just a weirdo all around. :) Thanks!
Many of the best views from Adirondack peaks are the result of clearings for surveys, or fires. I suggest you go back to this peak and do the right thing, to open up the views for others.
Here in the SW, I could use more trees on desert peaks. (People in Hell want ice water, that don't mean they get it.)
