Hey-hey, looking good John. Nice work. Now if we could just get someone to put up a couple more route pages...
This is quite a nice page, of an amazing spire! I would like to see a little more motivation in the background section. This may be the most famous technical climb in Colorado.
I think the information on entry fees, camping, you know, all the red tape BS, should be more precise, with links to relevant sites at the RMNP page. From the sound of things, the red tape could present some serious logistical challenges.
When you're doing the sections, put yourself in the position of some flatlander who has to drive 800 miles to climb it, and doesn't have the luxury of living nearby, with the familiarity of a local. Just go a little further in making the sections than you would go yourself...
Thanks MPBRO, unfortunately I am out of the country for a few months and don't have access to that info. As soon as I get back I'll be sure to touch up with some detailed info.
Some good information here esp. regarding the descent. A list of routes on the spire with difficulty ratings is my main request for additional info, but I certainly don't think this deserves to be up for adoption now. It would also be nice to know roughly where in RMNP the Cathedral Spires are located (central, NW, NE, etc.). The additions/corrections should also be incorporated so they can be cleaned up. It looks like the ones in the Overview and Red Tape sections can be incorporated/cleaned up. The addition in the Descent section probably warrants staying until Chris can check it out IMHO. Hopefully this vote will get it out of danger, but if not the changes above will increase my vote to 4 stars.
I'm going by the park service Monday to get some updated info on the area. I'll also give more specific information on the location of the Spires in relation to the rest of the park.

Untitled CommentGreat page on a very wanted aiguille. The black picture is really attention getting and worthy too, in my opinion. Nice route description and logs.

Untitled CommentNice, complete page for a very alluring spire. Good pictures.
The "courtesy of miztflip" towards the bottom of the page sounds a bit funny now that you maintain it.
