Jon, I'm glad you posted this mountain, ti really does have a great summit view. You mention in the overview that adding mountains such as Toll, Pawnee andLittle Pawnee makes for an easy day. I'm not sure I would add Little Pawnee Peak in that sentence. The ridge between it and Pawnee Peak is all class 4 with some class 5 stuff. I bet you new that though. I like the sig photo. I will add a East Ridge Route some time in the near future. See ya.
As always thanks for the input. I am glad you liked the signature photo... I have always been fond of that shot (especialy since on that day that was about the best view I got of Shoshoni... It was socked in soon thereafter) I reconsidered my mention of Little Pawnee and decided just to strike mention of it. Thank you for the high marks. I think my next mountain will be Peak X aka Knobby Crest. I know you weren't impressed with this mountain but perhaps I have some photos that might make you reconsider. I think the thing about the Kenoshas is that you can do them ALL together. And all of them are memorable.
Great page Jon! I've admired this peak many times walking below it towards Isabelle Glacier, but have never been up it there yet. Your description of it fits pefectly.
Anyone climbed the east face of Shoshoni? The southern edge of the east face seems to have a gully system that would appear to be mostly exposed 4th with some definite 5th class thrown. I'm looking for any beta or previous attempts. THANKS!

Untitled CommentNice page. Route info and a link or phone number for camping reservations would make it even better though. Great pictures.
