comment on 'best route'

The route presented in the overview takes you thru prime Grizzly Bear habitat with the most recent mauling in 2018. The first member of a group was alone and too far ahead of the main group, and was not making enough noise as they hiked around a blind corner and startled the bears.
Remember, the bells are worthless because the sound does not travel beyond 10 or 20 yards. A bear considers you a challenge if you are within 100 yards.
As a solo hiker I would not consider this route to Snowbank Mtn.

For anyone wondering...freedeep isn't making any sense. Just bring bearspray and know how to use it. There can be bears in ANY part of the Beartooths.
