I have viewed your climbing website many times, and all your county highpoint pages. I mention it in conversations with other hiker-types, as well as people interested in geography and topography. Pretty amazing stuff! It is cool to have another South Dakota page up. I personally think you would do this site a service to put up Walsh Mountain in Oklahoma, because it seems pretty interesting, and it is actually outside the Witchita Mountains, and Black Mesa. I never knew there were mountains out there!

Keep it up - I really am a fan of your work.

I appreciate the kind words! My wife of just about a year has really lit a fire under my butt about better photography, so we've invested in the equipment and my pages are slowly showing the benefits of the new fangled pix. I was kind of surprised that SD had just one peak listed on summitpost. There are tons of great little hikes in the Black Hills and even down in Nebraska... Hmmm... look for some Nebraska sites, soon.

Topo coordinates slightly off

I see now Sylvan Peak is Peak 7000 on topo maps. However, your topo coordinates are slightly off. Sylvan Peak is actually 1/3 mile to the northeast. The accurate coordinates are: 43.8438027°N, 103.586483°W

Re: Topo coordinates slightly off

I second this. A tiny move over would nicely fix that oversight.

Re: Topo coordinates slightly off

Fixed. I had rounded the coordinates a little too roughly originally. It should zero right in on the summit now.
