I expect I could do this one. Looks a bit closer to Assiniboine too. Good route and I'm glad your helmet and gear didn't get too live. Our house was hit by lightning the other day- no marks but it fried some computer boards.

desain, that potential lightening strike was on Ishbel which I will get up in a few days...just did it yesterday. I never had my helmet "sing" and felt the small amount of electrocution come on like that before...I was prepared to toss my alpine ax, but just grabbed by backpack with my hand vs strapping it on and descended as fast as I could...my partners helmet has no metallic parts and she got zapped once as well..I believe that must have been the electricity coming off of the summit through our feet and stimulating our helmets...too close for comfort....but have had the ax scenario happen before.



Fortress is a big thumbs up (Headwall Lakes approach though) for a pleasant nontechnical day out, but as you can see, snow can persist well into June. Cheers and Thanks!
