Wonderful page, although you are saying it's not finished yet! I enjoyed reading it. I prefer remote and less popular areas to places like Zermatt or Interlaken. So also this page stimulated my imagination.
Yes, I was only two times in Ticino, but it's great. Once it was a February weekend, we ascended only Monte Generoso. The other time, after ascending Cristallina, our car waited damaged in Ascona and we had to do a 3-day trek. It was just great, especially Val Versasca. I like remote villages, nice houses, everything made of granite, crystal clear waters, even Mario Botta's architecture fits in :-)
