Primary Image

If you are confused how to upload a primary image, just put this number (683487) in the primary image ID tab when editing the page. You may want to clear up the camping and external link sections. Just empty them and they will go away.

Nice Page

I have tried to do Vallecito the past two summers and should have done it when I did ridge traverse to Wheeler. I wasn't looking forward to either going over Lake Fork again or bushwacking up the Rio Hondo. Cool page

Re: Nice Page

Thank you!

It is quite feasible to day-hike Vallecito as a side trip while traversing Wheeler-Kachina ridge, but it adds 2-4 hours depending on snow conditions and the speed of your party. It could be done in summer season, but you will need a perfect weather. With snow, it would be ~11-13 hour car-to-car trip (traverse+Vallecito Mountain) if you using Wheeler West Slopes route.
