That is quite the tale. I'm interested, what had the volcanic activity been like up to when you climbed? For example, had Ubinas been dormant for a few months or were you trying to get a climb in between regular eruptive episodes?
Yes, at the time it had been quiet since May 2006, about 1.5 years.
