Mountaineers Route

Mountaineers Route

Upper two (of three) Saddleback Lakes and an unnamed peak in the background as seen from summit of Elephants Perch (July 4, 2004). pioneerclimber gave the following information: This mountain is Decker Peak, the range's third highest (not the USGS Decker, however). From the shore of the lakes, you can only see a point on the peak's north ridge.

Gorgeous shot, Radek!

And the mountain deserves a name with such a grand appearance!

Re: Gorgeous shot, Radek!

Aaron,

Thank you very much!

I could not find the name of this peak on the USGS map but it might very well be named. Will need to double check the climbing book (though I THOUGHT that it was NOT named in there either).

Very nice ...

Agreed ... that is a great shot. I love the blue of the lakes with the green trees and the snowy mountains.
