Mouth of Settlement Canyon, UT

Mouth of Settlement Canyon, UT

Settlement Canyon can be accessed from Hwy 36 just on the southwest side of Tooele, Utah. Looking further south from Settlement Canyon reservoir, we see the "HIGH snow-covered RIDGE" that separates Middle Canyon from Settlement Canyon. The highest point on this ridge is Kelsey Peak, (far right), at 10,373'. LOWE PEAK is 200 feet higher, but it is out of the photo to the southwest of Kelsey. THIS IS PRIME HABITAT FOR MULE DEER.

Re: Beautiful picture!

Thanks! Do you see the water? As a very young
person, I fished for Rainbow trout there. Kind
of like what they had at Spirit Lake, before
the mountain blew. Do you like fish, Mark?

Re: Beautiful picture!

That looks like a flourishing ecosystem in and around that water. I don't enjoy to fish because it is very time-consuming, but I do enjoy eating fish. Does anything live in Spirit Lake anymore?

Re: Missed this one

Yes, my Dad thought Utah was great place to
settle down and raise a family.

He still thinks that after all these years.

I have two brothers living within Tooele
County. They really love it up there.
