Stranded in a Gulley
Climbed the west ridge accessed from the Main Gulley route. We ran out of time and changed our route and tried to descended via an un named gulley west of Judges route. Ran into a snow moat and got stranded and spent a cold night on the mountain.

FULL BLOWN SNOW SHOW
Maybe a handful may have made it up today. Those who didn’t brave the crazy weather this mountain attracted. Full blown snow storm in June! Welcome to Alpine hiking! Super slick and cold. We were slightly underdressed for the conditions which made for a quick summit. Envying the well geared hikers with their hot chocolate. Hiked back into Spring at the base of Judges Route.

Hat found at the top
My wife and I climbed Judges Route for the first time on Sunday. Great climb. Great weather. Very little snow left, but a few flakes falling on us as we reached the top. Found a hat at the top. Seems brand new. Anyone lose one in the past few days? Describe it (make, colour, description) and it's yours.
Multiple assents, all from the Cokely Ridge. Two most memorable, sliding down a small snowfield with my cousins, and second, getting to the last scramble before the summit with my German Sheppard and trying to climb it with him draped over the top of my pack! He wasn't enjoying the exposure any more than me, but he was even more annoyed when I tied him to a bush and bagged the summit by myself. Best views on southern Vancouver Island!

Judgement Day
4 friends and I did a quick afternoon hike via Judges. One of them was from AUS and had never touched snow before. I found a gully just north of the main summit that had a big icy block of snow preserved by the shadow. I enjoyed watching him try to walk on it in his sneakers. Made my day.

Bad judgement route
Hiked an awesome loop route, climbing the judges route and then downclimbing the Nose, traversing the bumps and descending the saddle trail (after a quick pitch up Coakely). Remind me to bring a rope for the Nose next time. Downclimbing it without pro was one of those things that I knew we _could_ do, but probably shouldn't.

Rainy day
Did the judges route up and back on a rainy day. Managed to eek a few views out of Port Alberni and Sproat Lake.

fun climb
Made the summit via Judges route, beautiful day but cloudy at the top! Soft snow lower down, near the top it was firmer which made travel easier.

wet and windy November
Standard Judges Route to the summit. Nice and straightforward but typical November weather meant lots of cloud, drizzle, and wind. Also went up Dec 13 via Main Snow Gully - lots of fun, but deep snow can make the approach trying

Mt Arrowsmith
Climbed Arrowsmith on a blue bird day in Mid September 2001 after a wonderful week in the Olympic Mountains. Vancouver Island is amazing...

Winter ascent
Went up the Judge's Route in the winter. There was a lot of snow and windy weather! A nice mountain. Good variety of routes. Good for training. I have only been up it in the winter via Judges Route, the Main Snow Gully and the Lost Gully. Summer via the Nose. Have also climbed at the Ice Box which is some decent 15 m steep waterfall ice when it forms up. Saw a summit view my 4th time on the summit.
Multiple ascents. Sometimes to the top, sometimes not. After 15 years climbing on Arrowsmith the weather finally let me see the view from the top in May 2007.
