From Mt. Disappointment Road
Up the road to the saddle and on up to the peak. Summit views of the LA basin were a bit hazy from the fires. Off to Occidental.

With Disappointment and San Gabriel
Views were better here than at the other two peaks, IMO. Could hear ghostly sounds from a music festival in Pasadena wafting up through the mountains. Was nice to be alone at the summit.

Mt Wilson Roundup
Peak 5 of 7 in the Mt Wilson area. Just like Markham, San Gabriel & Disappointment, couldn't find a register. Really nice views!

It's OK
I saw some deer on the way there from Disappointment...nice views but nothing too special resonates.

This was the fifth and final peak we summited that day in the fog and rain. No views beyond 100 feet.

From Mt. Disappointment Road
Cleaning up the Mt. Wilson HPS area. Walked the service road to Mt. Disappointment, turned right at the saddle and went straight up. Not much to say about this summit. Check and move on.

HPS List finish
#278 with Bob, Laura & Glenn. Snow storm prevented about a dozen additional people from joining although Erin, Tina, Mike, Doug, and Kari made it to Markham Saddle before turning back to the Lake Ave TH (shuttle vehicles didn't make it to Eaton Saddle because of storm.) Nice list finish party at Lake Ave with lots of friends --thanks!

One of Five
With Mt. Disappointment, San Gabriel Pk, Mt. Markham and Mt. Lowe. Nice little use trail up from the fire road.

From Near Red Box
After San Gabriel, Markham, Lowe, and Disappointment. Took the east ridge up (the southernmost of the two firebreaks leading to the summit) and the north ridge down. This north ridge was significantly sandier than the east ridge which made for a good descent route. I wouldn't want to go up that way.

with others
I remember seeing richard pitroski's name in the register and being the only person after him for A WHILE. Not too many people up that way. skinny trail through the trees.

Hardly anyone even knows this peak exists... nice little scramble to get up to the ridge, great views over Bear Canyon. Peak 2 of 2 for the day.

Nice Hike
We took the steep trail up from the parking lot and then looped back via the road. Very nice trail, shady and lots more interesting than the road. I appreciate a peak without radio towers, too.
