Another solo fall visit (Oct 7/8) in perfect weather and another peaceful night on the summit. This time walked out via Slingshot Meadows, Ash Pond and the NE slopes of Mt Becher.
Several visits, most recently solo on Oct 14/15, 2008, when I spent a frigid night camped on the summit. Even my water bottle inside the tent froze solid.
Plenty of compensation though; a clear weather window, with stunning evening, sunset and early morning views.
Hiked out via a side trip up Mt Becher. By the time I got to the the car ~4pm it was raining to beat the band. Sometimes you lose, this time I won.
