its north side nicely in this shot. The Jefferson Park glacier is directly in front of us and our north ridge and our "highpoint" are in this pic. The actual summit of Mt. Jefferson is not visible from this viewpoint. 8-9-03

GREAT SHOT OF JEFFERSON!

As far as the approach to Mt. Jefferson goes - is it difficult to reach? Once you arrived at it's base, bet you had to utilize your ice axe & crampons on this one. I've often viewed Jefferson's eastern profile from Madras, OR. Looks like a really isolated mountain, GLAD you made it HOME okay. BEAUTIFUL !!! !!! (Would guess it doesn't get as much "climbing traffic" as it's neighbor, Mount Hood.)
