7 Mile Shadow?Very beautiful. Where did the photo come from?

Re: 7 Mile Shadow?I took this on the plane from Seattle going to Sacramento. The time was approximately 7:45 PM. We were flying very close to Rainier, had not yet reached full cruising altitude and the air was relatively clear. It shows some nice effects with shadows and clouds and the details are crisp. The cloud layer hugging the mountain also has a nice shadow that is a horizontal line across the mountain.

Wow!!!One of the best photos on SP for a long time. You can be lucky. You had the right plane at the right time, the right window seat and obviously a cleaned and unscraped window and a camera!
Thanks for posting.

Amazing shotThis is a wonderful image. I had the chance to climb Rainier 12 years ago but had to pass it up due to the passing of a good friend. I must put it on the to do list. Thanks for posting. Cheers William

Nice! How did you keep the glare from the window out of the photo? Strong UV filter? Polarizer? I like the shadow the mountain makes on the area behind it.
