lots of snow? Ha!I guess you've never seen a northern ny winter... we get that much snow a day during the winter there!

Re: lots of snow? Ha!I seriously doubt that northern NY has this much residual snow along the roads in late May. I was in northern VT and NH in mid-April 1985 and the snow was almost gone along the roads, even in the mountains. The Cascades get far more snowfall than the Northeast gets, and if you'd like evidence, click here to read about the world's measured snowfall record of 95 feet, which occurred on Mt. Baker during the winter of 1998-99, surpassing the previous record of 93.5 feet which occurred on Mt. Rainier during the winter of 1971-72. Are you aware of any snowfall records having been established in upstate NY?
