A glorious warm summer morning was replaced by a white-out and snow showers on the summit.
Started from Woolshed Creek and traversed the south face to the summit track (~4.25h). Summit and return in the clag in 3.25h. Then walked down to Sharplin Falls in just under 2 hours.
Disappointing change in the weather but I saw enough of Mt Somers early in the day to make me want to come back the next time I'm in NZ.
