Aspen Grove
Climbed today with my wife, and the Wasatch Mountain Club. The most goats I have ever seen. Lots of people today too. Shared the summit with about 15 others, while we watched more people ascending from the saddle. Summit was cold and windy, but not bad enough to prevent us from eating lunch and taking pictures. Great day on one of Utah's classic mountains! Go Utes!

First summit of Timp
Myself and a group of co-workers took to the summit today via Aspen Grove trail. We started at 7:00 am and it took us 4 hours and 30 minutes to reach the summit. We spent a little time on top then made it down the trail to the car in 3 hours 15 min for a total time of 7 hours 45 minutes.
We saw a young bull moose and a couple mountain goats. It was a perfect day to hike and we had a great time.

One of my favorites
I've climb Timp four times now and I still love it. I prefer the Aspen Grove Trail as it passes by Emerald Lake and the snowfield, but the Timpanooke Trail is fun too. I love the last part of the trail from the saddle to the top. The last time I went there was still tons of snow on the boulder field (the 3rd week in August, 2011) which made the hike a bit trickier but still doable and tons of fun.

beautiful climb
Pretty hot, but really great weather for hiking. Took Timpooneke trail and had to park outside the campground and got in trouble with highway patrol when I got back to the car. Whoops
Great day for a climb; the wildflowers were amazing. Saw a coyote and 5 mtn goats. One goat faced me head-on. I had to retreat down the trail until he decided on a different direction.

Timpooneke First Timer
Went with my son, this was our first time on Timpanogos. The Timpooneke trail was awesome! One of the most beautiful trails I have ever been on.
My buddy and I took two girls who were ill prepared for this climb. They cried a good portion of the ascent and the last 4-5 miles of the descent. In the end, (several months later) they thanked us for one of the greatest experiences of their lives.

Timpooneke
I went with my now wife on our third date. She obviously enjoyed it so I knew I had found my life hiking buddy:). The top gets really crowded on weekend/holidays be careful.

This was the 5th time I'd climbed Timp. Never did it at night before, but it was probably the best thing ever! Thanks Timp!

Timpanogos
So it took me 2 and half hours to reach Emerald lake via the ASPEN GROVE Trail, the snow deffinatly has moved back in and making it to the summet was to much of a risk without any ice gear for me. Still had a great hike and enjoyed the shelter for a lunch spot. Only saw about 30 people on the trail and most turned around just past the rock slide. I only saw one group with the equipment to make it up. Great hike still just watch your step with the ice.

Timpanooke trail / Timp Glacier
Went up Timpanooke trail, then down Timp glacier/snowfield. Went through herd of about 50 mountain goats. Very scenic area and very popular.
Couldn't have picked a better day. Saw only 11 people the whole time, blue skies, mountain goats, and no crowds. Took Timpooneke up and back, gentle incline, pleasant hike.
Nice walk up with my dad, I would love to do this in winter.

My First Summit in Utah
I accepted an invitation from a friend who was working in Lehi so I said sure. Aside from downhill skiing at the resorts I hadn't really given the mountains much thought. Boy was overlooking some beatiful and challenging peaks. I got to join a group of nine to the summit. It was beautiful. due to the late and heavy winter it was still like Spring in September. The flowers were blooming, all the plant life was lush and green and the waterfalls were spectacular. We also hiked through a herd of goats too.
