Mt Whyte - East Ridge

The East Ridge at dusk as seen from Lake Agnes. The Devils Thumb is the quartzite tower closest to the lake. Beyond the Thumb are two chossy limestone towers that can be bypassed on the south side before joining the East Ridge. The Perren route follows the ridge to the summit. The technical crux is the solid rockband at the top of the ridge.
