Nearing the Cirque

The summit of Lone Peak dead ahead as we approach the cirque. We elected to stay high on the left side of the cirque rather than drop towards the drainage to the right, as is more commonly done in the summer. Notice all that blue sky above the peak ... it didn't last. Photo Date: January 20, 2007
