Thanks rpc. Ain't it all fun! I noticed on your Oregon Pinnacles page that the you have the rating listed as "?". I just added the route description (Northwest Corner) coming in at 5.8. The Turkey Monster site is awesome - nicely done! Cheers.
thanks for good word Ragu. I've modified the links on the OR towers page. Great looking adventure you guys pulled off on this one (Mr. Ernesto = K.C.? think I know the gentleman in that case). cheers.
Been scouting this one for a couple years, looks like you beat me to it (and judging by the vegetation in your photos, you did this at least last Fall?) Good to have better info though. Karl Helser of SP and I looked at a line on the SW side in a groove but it looks like more pitons that I have would be needed. Nice job, and nice to know there are bolts on that first pitch. We never saw those either on our scouting mission.
You see the bolts on the south side of the smaller Needle? Looks like someone wants to set up several lines on this neat feature.
Hey Brian. I saw your Elephant Rock page, which inspired me to put this one out there. I think we climbed the Needle back in 2001? I never did scout the smaller Needle. My pictures did not turn out great (flat light), so if you've got some good ones of the rock I'll put that one as the main. Thanks for the comments.
Thanks for the nice words. I'm still searching for my old Needle Rock ones. Will try to get some up. Hoping to get on Needle in a month or so with some others, maybe will have more then too.
