Overview
I lived in New Mexico for 16 years, and below are some of my images from my favorite places. It is the Land of Enchantment after all.
The state's total area is 121,665 square miles (315,110 km2). The landscape ranges from deserts to mesas to high, snow capped peaks. Despite New Mexico's arid image, heavily forested mountain wildernesses cover a significant portion, especially towards the north.
It is the 5th largest state in US.
