Nine bighorn sheep crossing...

Nine bighorn sheep crossing the East Fork Lostine River Valley. It was amazing, they ran down a boulder field, splashed across the river, and up the other side of the valley into the forest in about a minute. July 17, 2005

absolutely great stuff

I've yet to see a bighorn in the wild and yet you captured nine of them in one shot. It must have been amazing to see what you did.

Thanks Dean. They crossed the trail so close in front of us that it scared/startled Shelby, who inturn scared me! They crossed one at a time, each pausing to check us out before stepping across the trail. Kind of funny, about a mile back a guy coming up the trail had asked us if we had seen any animals because he really wanted to photograph some. After that I had mentioned to Shelby that we never see any wildlife other than squirrels. I guess we have now, still waiting to see a mountain goat though.



I think I could spend ever weekend in that area and be quite happy. Very nice place.
