Derek insists it was the weekend of the Summer Solstice, 1981 -- see his Trip Report. I thought it was more like late July. Two weekends later we were climbing the N ridge of Mount Stuart on the hottest day ever recorded at SeaTac airport. I've tried to pinpoint that date, but internet records don't go back that far, of course.
The simplest way to resolve disputes between Derek and I is to just take comfort in the fact that he's smarter, and I'm better lookin'.

Untitled CommentGot 'em, plus a few more. If I didn't do some of this late at night, it wouldn't happen at all. My writing suffers for it. Thanks for proofreading.

Untitled CommentI really enjoyed your page. It had the taste of a genuine adventure. Awesome place.
Typos just happen. I can't see mine, and I don't expect others to see theirs. I hope you don't mind my pointing them out.

Untitled CommentNot at all. After I fix them, other readers just see error-free text, which makes me look smart. Not many things can do that.

Untitled CommentThanks! Derek's been pestering me to get this up so he can post a trip report & summit log.
I took out the "Bear with me..." note; it's pretty much done now, except for chasing down typos.
