Border Control...At 3000mts you have too pass the "Guarda vieja" (Old guard) border control, and register with the Carabineros.
Las Flores village is lower than 3000meters...much lower indeed.
It's a good place to stay and start the aclimatization program, with Cerro El Bronce 4300mts (wich I summited) in front of the control.
The area is very windy and drier than Aconcagua or Mercedario areas,futher south!
