I have been living in Bellingham for 3 years now - the climbing options are endless between here and north of the border. 5 WA volcanos currently under the belt and adding more steadily along with other peaks
Lived in Washington for a year and was only able to make it to the true North Cascades once on a 6 day mountaineering course - boston basin / Sahale Peak. However, it was a terrific experience and a unique beauty to behold. It was no doubt different up there than in any other parts of the state, or the cascades. Can't wait to make it back up there.
I grew up in Washington and moved to Oregon when I was 7. I finally made it to the North Cascades for the first time at age 26! Some of the most beautiful country I've seen. Climbed in the Liberty Bell group.

love
I moved up here to be near these mountains. Love love love!
Another great place in America. I would really love to explore some of the more remote, rugged areas.

My Personal Favorite
This is by far my personal favorite range in the world. There is a wide variety of great mountains while still retaining the lower forests and wildlife, it also happens to be some what near my home. If I could live here, I probably would.

Best Peaks In WAI've probably climbed 20+ peaks in the North Cascades. This is where some of the real climbing expeditions take place in WA.

Best so far! Some of my favorite climbs are here in the North Cascades. Mts Baker and Shuksan among others are simply outstanding.
