While ALL other climbs in the area had melted away (except for alpine routes) and rock climbers were climbing the main face we found good ice still available here b/c the entire area remains in the shade. Even thouh the place is basically a training spot for EMS OR IME beginners.

Great ice in the winter monthsThick ice still, fun to solo laps and build strength (if you're comfortable.)
