North Gold Dust Peak

North Gold Dust Peak

This unnamed, 13,346' summit is about a mile north of Gold Dust Peak. It and Gold Dust dominate the view west of Mount Jackson. In the foreground, elk are grazing the fertile north slopes of Mount Jackson (Colorado) at 11,900'.

Nice Shot

This photo might inspire me to go and finally climb this mountain. It may be one of the best looking, least known peaks in all of Colorado. It reminds me of a few of the fine peaks in the Slate creek area in the Gores.

Re: Nice Shot

Kane, let me know when you want to give it a go. I have been wanting to do the entire NY Mtn-Gold Dust-N Gold Dust traverse for some time now.

Great pic Larry! Thanks for adding Mt Jackson its been on my "to-do" list since I moved here, hopefully I will climb it soon!
