If Splattski didn't know his way around here I would still probably be lost in the forest. Lots of deadfall from prior burns, obscure trail, mosquitos- full meal deal. Combining this with South Loon made for a long day. The cirque between North and South Loon is quite nice. Good views to the north in particular as the land drops down toward the Salmon River.
