North Peak
Summited after Bridge earlier the same morning. Descended a western ridge via an unnamed trail I found on Strava that saved at least 3 miles on my RTB to my car on the dirt road vice having to go back to the Bridge Mtn trail junction. It was nice to descend that trail, but it is STEEP. Would be a butt-kicker going up it.

The first of two that day
Hiked up the climbers trail off Rocky Gap Rd to the summit w/ Chris. From the sandstone summit we followed the limestone ridge to Crest Peak

Once Again
After North Peak Limestone, aka Crest Peak, and on peakbagger, Peak 7244'. This "peak" isn't really a peak at all, rather an impressive bump on the ridge, but with really good views.

First of many
Up the dryfall system, down the cairned use trail. Surprised that this enjoyable peak does not get more traffic!
On an exceptionally windy day, after summitting Bridge Mountain, I took a short side trip to North Peak before dropping back down the east side of the escarpment to Rocky Gap Road and back to my car.

Red Rock Summit Route
Parked on Lovell Canyon Rd and hiked via Red Rock Summit, easy to follow. After 2 tries I couldnt find the Bridge Mt trail after the saddle so I bagged this one for fun. Fun to watch the 4x4s on the dry creek bed.

Red Rock Summit
Not sure which peak was actually North. The trailsigns from Red Rock Summit seem to indicate that the limestone summit is the peak. The summit registries on both the limestone and sandstone peaks both claim to be North.
In any case, I tagged them both :)
Aborted a followon attempt at Bridge when my ankle started acting up on the descent to the saddle.
Short hike from RR Summit to the top of the limestone peak - which has a summit register in what appeared to be an ammunition box. Judging by the entries, most folk take this as the true summit - and it certainly looked higher than its sandstone neighbour to the NE.
It was only when I got back that I read that most RR locals look upon the sandstone peak as the top of North Peak. Anya Jingle's photograph even describes an "army box" summit register on the sandstone peak. Oh well...
I walked the road from about half way - not being sure of its condition further up. In fact there were no potential "stoppers" from where I parked and I could have driven up easily enough. Made for a reasonable workout this way though.
Lovely weather (bit cold and windy on top) and super views.
Imho, makes a nice introduction to RR scrambles for the occasional visitor.
We started at the beginning of the dirt road up to Red Rock Summit then took the trail to the top. Awesome area back there and a good hike to get outside with some great views!

best route is Lost CreekActually don't remember when I was first there. It is now sort of a tradition to go to *the sandstone* North Peak after Bridge.
By far the best route up is via Lost Creek... I've followed both Branch Whitney and Jim Egan up those class 3/4 routes.
The BLM designates a higher limestone peak -- off the Bridge trail -- as "North Peak", and that is the "North Peak" in Zdon's newer book.
