"As an adolescent I aspired to lasting fame, I craved factual certainty, and I thirsted for a meaningful vision of human life - so I became a scientist. This is like becoming an archbishop so you can meet girls."

Ugh Ugh!Started directly from Horton Creek Campground, hiked the dirt road to the base of the ridge and climbed it a loooong ways to the summit. Then, back to the campground. Total time 12.5 hours. Endless false summits abound, but the views are spectacular. Gaining the lower ridge is the crux, with all the loose stuff.

Done...After a 2:30am start from the car at 5,500ft, I reach the summit in 11.5 hours...back at the car at 7:30pm....17 hours total. Very nice and long winter route. A tidbit windy at the top. The upper ridge was pretty much snow free.
