From Crater Lake
Climbed the North Ridge from Crater Lake. There is a good trail. Connected to the East ridge and traversed to the summit. There are a few interesting scrambles to be had on the ridge, but they can optionally be avoided. Great views of the higher San Juan peaks in Chicago Basin.

Standard route
Day trip from Andrews Lake; regretted not overnighting at Crater Lake and having the time/energy to do a full Twilight traverse.

walk in the clouds
a nice hike with clouds moving in and out, did not see the peak at some times at all, and then when it cleared up, it was so spectacular.
I got off route on east ridge (it was cloudy and I did not see where I was going), so got into some scary loose terrain, found a nice trail on the way down.
nice solitude, several people at the Crater Lake, but up there only me and clouds.
Summited as a camp counselor from Colvig Silver Camps w/ some 12 and 13 year olds!

North Face Couloirs
Started up the main couloir on the north face and then took the steeper right hand variation at a major fork. The cornice at the top was relatively easy to overcome. Max slope angle was around 50 degrees. From North Twilight, traversed on to Twilight (tricky) and South Twilight (easy). Retraced our route almost back to the summit of North Twilight and descended its interesting east ridge to Crater Lake. Awesome day!

snow!
Wallowed around in some fall snow to get this one done. Climbed the west ridge.
A great climb with good weather to start. We took a couloir facing northeast. Approached from the lake to the east of the twilights in from the Andrew's parking area after summiting Snowdon the day before. Ahh, the might San Juans.
